Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called on Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah to discuss the latest developments in the region.
Amir-Abdollahian, who is on a regional tour, arrived in Beirut on Wednesday morning and held talks with a number of Lebanese officials, including Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Press TV reported.
The Iranian diplomat has now flown to the Omani capital of Muscat on the next leg of his tour.
Speaking to IRNA, Amir-Abdollahian said the regional tour is mainly aimed at consultations in a bid to find a solution to the crises in the Palestinian territories, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
