According to a report by Press TV, a large number of Franco-Iranians have gathered at Imam Khomeini’s residence in France to pay respect and tributes to the founder of the Islamic Republic. They are celebrating 37th anniversary of historic victory of 1979 revolution.
Pictures of the Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic are posted near the historic residence on the outskirts of the French capital.
This comes as people across Iran and the world are set to celebrate the 37th anniversary of the revolution which changed the balance of power in the interest of the oppressed people.
37 years ago, Neauphle-le-Château, was from a small village outside Paris where the late Imam stayed for some months to gain an international audience to get his revolutionary message across all nations of the world
France has a special link to the popular uprising as Imam stayed over there for some months before making historic return to the Iranian capital on February 01, 1979.
Imam spent more than 14 years in exile, mostly in the holy city of Najaf. Imam also spent some months in Turkey and France.
It has now been 37 years since the Iranian nation toppled the brutal Pahlavi regime of Shah.
Imam established Islamic-democratic system which put Iran on the track of progress. The revolution also supported the entire Muslim Ummah and oppressed people around the globe.
