Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini said during a recent address that there is need for ethical codes to be compiled for all professions.
The internationally-reputed scholar went onto say that defining ethical codes for each profession had been an established practice even in very early times of the history.
He also noted that all professions, including medical, teaching, labor and others have specific moral and ethical obligations which need to be observed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hassan Khomeini said that the public masses should be informed about services and great tasks being carried out by the government.
He pointed out that if people were not provided with proper information about the projects and services being rendered by the government, then they could get disappointed.
Recalling a historic quote by Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, he said that Imam had recommended the relevant officials and authorities to explain their tasks and services for the public masses. This could prevent people from getting disappointed.
Disappointment has been an enemy to all social movements and could plunge society into a decline, he emphasized.
The victory of Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 put Iran on track of progress and changed the balance of power in the interests of all Muslim, developing and oppressed nations.
