Supplications by Imam Zain-ul-Abedin (PBUH) contains deep Quranic concepts, treasures of mysticism

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic maintained that divine-oriented supplications by Ali ibn Husayn Zain-ul-Abedin (PBUH) contain treasure of mysticism, deep Quranic cconcepts and several discipline of knowledge.

The fourth Holy Imam, Ali ibn Husayn Zain-ul-Abedin was born in Medina on 5th Shaban 38 A.H. His epithet was Abu Muhammad and was popularly titled as "Zain-ul-Abedin"

Imam Khomeini, the leader of contemporary Muslim world once said in a historic message in this regard as following:

By the Beloved! 'Ali ibn al-Husayn was one of the greatest blessings which Allah, the Most High, had bestowed upon His servants as a grace, bringing him down from the sacred world of Proximity, for the sake of teaching the ways of servitude to His servants:" Then, on that Day, you shall most certainly be questioned about the bliss." »

The world religious and spiritual leader also emphasized on perceiving and comprehending epistemological perspectives mentioned by holy prophet’s offspring and household in these forms of prayers. The divine-oriented supplications by Ali ibn Husayn Zain-ul-Abedin( PBUH) explain several Quranic verses and contain several fundamentals of Islamic disciplines of knowledge.

For an instance, Sahifeh Sajjadieh contains the most precious and useful invocations and supplications under fifty four titles. Sahifeh Sajjadieh is a precious collection of supplications attributed to Imam Husain ibn 'Ali (peace be upon him).

Imam Khomeini maintained that supplications by infallible successors of the honorable prophet contain treasure of mysticism and Quranic interpretation.

We bring some quotes from Imam Khomeini regarding the supplications narrated by infallibles as following:

Even in their supplications if you study the supplications of Imām Sajjad and other Immaculate Imāms, you see that they brim with advice to prepare people for higher stations, which are beyond the grasp of ordinary people. Invitation to monotheism, purification of the self, detachment the world and confiding God Almighty.

( Sahifeh-ye-Imam, Vol.18, page 349)

In one night, Imām as-Sajjād has been narrated as saying until morning: “O God! Grant me a day of detachment and separation from the abode of vanity, return to the abode of felicity, and preparation for death before dying.”

The issue is a great one. They are in front of the majesty of God. When they assess themselves, they realize that they are nothing and have nothing. This is the truth of the matter: except Him there is nobody and there is nothing when they pay attention to the world of plurality but the command of God.
