Imam Khomeini, the great founder of Islamic republic, before political struggles against the regime of Shah was a prominent teacher in seminary, so that he had allotted most of his time to teaching profession and compiling his works.
When he debated on a subject we didn't feel the passage of time and although sometimes his lectures, specifically thoses on the Islamic philosophy and jurisprudence, would last about two hours, no one was getting tired of it and all discussions.
He was meticulous and very careful about even small details to make sure that everything was said enough to the greatest possible degree on a particular subject.
Interestingly, decades after the demise of the great Imam, many of his students still believe that his methodology in teaching was unique and the best compared to other lecturers of his time.
