It has been narrated through a series of memoirs that Imam did not use to request others to fetch a glass of water for him.
Once Imam was sitting at a family gathering and was seen rushing towards the home’s kitchen for water to quench his thirst.
Seeing that the relatives said, “We wished if you could have asked us to bring water for your Eminence.”
At this, Imam replied that it would be great for a man to be self- sufficient in performing all his works and carrying out tasks
Imam always used to carry out his works by himself and even helped family members in making tea or food and washing dishes.
