The summit was held in early June in Beirut where experts and academic fighures held talks in Lebanon to discuss the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution.

The event was attended by the Iranian and Lebanese academics and scholars of several other nationalities from around the globe.
Several experts on the Islamic studies and eastern studies also participated in the ceremony of great significance.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 4, 1989 at the age of 87.
