The news that a conference was to be held was announced by Hujjat Allah Taqavi to a group of reporters, who were invited by the Gilan Basij University Students Organization. Taqavi stated that this conference will be held in order to make the political views of Imam Khomeini clear to university students. He further added that the different aspects of the Imam’s life will be discussed.
He also pointed out that living a simple life, serving people and insight were the important characteristics of the Imam and stated: “The most prominent basis in the people’s lives is the viewpoints of Imam Khomeini and the judgments of the Supreme Leader.”
Taqavi said that the conference secretariat received 150 articles and added: “110 articles belong to university students and 40 belong to university lecturers. The most participants were form the Public (Azad) Universities of Rudsar, Rasht, Lahijan and Amlash.
Taqavi added that understanding the Imam’s thoughts and actions which lead to the success of the Islamic revolution, and presenting Imam Khomeini as an example of a human with all the best characteristics, is one of the charters of the Islamic revolution of Iran and the aim of this conference. “A book will be published with the title ‘A collection of debates on the views of the Imam’ and it will consist of a collection of the articles presented at this conference.” This conference will take place on the 17th of December 2011 at the Rudsar and Amlash branch of the Public (Azad) Islamic University. Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hamid Rowhani, who is the head of Historical Research of the Islamic Revolution Foundation, will also attend this conference.
